Angela M. Blancas was born in Lima, Peru. She attended the University of Trujillo in Peru, where she earned a Bachelor in Mathematical Sciences with a specialization in Statistics. She graduated with honors, scoring third in her class. Ms. Blancas also earned a diploma in Market Research at the University of Applied Sciences in Lima, Peru. After graduation, Ms. Blancas spent several years working at Distribuidora Bolivariana S.A. a wholesale distribution company that belongs to Televisa, Mexico. In this position, she was able to apply mathematical techniques in the areas of forecasting, sampling, and surveys. In 2005, she immigrated to the United States and attended the Miami Dade College to obtain a teacher certification. Additionally, Ms. Blancas worked as a substitute teacher at the Dade County Public Schools and as a tutor in a ESE program that helped struggling 3-12k students. In 2012, Ms. Blancas was given the opportunity of joining the MAC faculty. She has taught Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Geometry.
