Silvio Leon III was born and raised in Miami Florida in South Miami near Sunset Place. He attended Gulliver Preparatory School and was involved with National Honor Society and Vice President of the Interact Club for 2 years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History and Minor in Religious Studies at Florida International University. He specialized in European and Judaic-Christian history and religious texts.
Before working as a teacher, Silvio served as full time intern at Cru (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ) for two years. He spoke to and mentored college students at Florida International University and led one month missions trip in the Dominican Republic with college students from California to Florida. Following year served as a counselor to the Missions leaders the following year in the Dominican Republic. Also he has spoken and taught in multiple Cru events and meetings.
This is Mr. Leon's eighth year teaching at MAC. He will be teaching 8th Grade World History and Global Studies.
Outside of MAC, Mr. Leon published his first devotional, 'Open Heart'.
