Osliany Martinez began his career in education as a high school math teacher in 2004 in Havana, Cuba. He is Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College (MDC) since 2021. He has extensive experience in AP Calculus AB, AP Precalculus, Algebra 1, Geometry, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2, Math Analysis, Economics and Statistics, Physics, and Chemistry. He holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education obtained at Nova Southeastern University and a Science Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from CUJAE in Havana, Cuba.
Mr. Martinez has 12 years of experience in education beginning at Mavericks High School in Pompano Beach, Florida teaching Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Financial Algebra, then at Aspira of Florida in Miami teaching Intensive Math 6-8. He also has experience with a high domain of software designed to improve and support student achievements such as APEX, I-Ready, Khan-Academy, IXL, Reading Plus, and Pearson Learning.
He is an enthusiastic Middle/High School Math Teacher committed to creating an atmosphere that encourages productive learning of basic math concepts. adept at determining students' strengths and weaknesses, and building a lesson plan accordingly to meet curriculum standards.
This is Mr. Martinez´s seventh year of teaching at MAC. He is teaching AP Calculus College AB and AP Precalculus College and he is the actual Mathematic Department Leader.
